Why Everyone on the Planet Needs Immune Support….. and Transfer Factor Plus TriFactor
Just thought I would jot down a few thoughts that we share on our Tuesday night “virtual living room chats” when we introduce and educate about the TF line of immune support products from 4Life Research.
I have repeatedly used the statement: “Everyone on the planet needs the immune support of TF+” and I mean it. To be simplistic about it all, we live for 30-50 years and then slowly die over the next 20-30 years of the consequences of our decisions re diet and lifestyle choices, and environmental damage due to human activity. Poor nutrition, either by choice of foods consumed or by poor nutritional value of our foods, as well as the poor lifestyle choices of smoke, drugs (prescribed and street), little if any exercise all slowly degrade the overall health of the most important of bio-systems, the immune system. Environmental damage and the pollution associated therewith continue this degradation and then challenge that less-than-optimal immune system, leading to a variety of serious inflammatory and auto-immune phenomena that directly affect the quality of life of all living things.
How can we change this? It is difficult on the obvious levels: “just” change our choices and commit to caring for the environment, reducing pollution and destruction of the environment. That “just change” however is very difficult to achieve, given the human condition and psyche and the complexity of society and government.
The one simple thing that we can do is to make a choice about effective and committed supplementation by nutritionals that have shown to have a positive effect on the immune system and its responses to the enormous challenges at hand. Transfer Factor Plus TriFactor is that one nutritional that can and indeed does have the potential of supporting the immune system’s ability to respond to those challenges, as well as provide the wisdom of controlling that immune response, a so-called modulating ability of the immune response. Humans as well as the animals we have brought into our lives all suffer from effects of infection and excessive inflammatory responses to a variety of challenges, a reduced immune capability to monitor and destroy the constant malignant changes of tissues throughout our bodies, and excessive response to environmental and microbial exposures. A supported strong and wise immune system can help the body respond to these challenges.
Oh, did I mention that “Everyone on the Planet needs the immune support and wisdom of Transfer Factor Plus TriFactor”. Period.

By Robert Klitzman, M.D.
“I will pray for you,” a senior psychiatrist told my patient.
His comment surprised me. I was in training, and the patient was a petite Latina woman who had remained despondent despite medication, psychotherapy or anything else I did. Would he really pray for her?
Dr. Robert Klitzman. (Charles Manley)Occasionally, as a trainee, I would spot a hospital chaplain, but at the medical school where I was trained and others, nothing about religion or spirituality is ever taught. Science is supposed to be logical, rational and objective, while spiritual beliefs are irrational, subjective, elusive and hard to describe. Not surprisingly, research suggests that doctors tend to be less religious than their patients.
But then, a few years ago, I became a patient myself and began to look at these issues differently. My sister died in the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attacks, leaving me stunned and depressed. As I recovered, I began to wonder about other doctors who had become patients. I ended up interviewing more than 50 of them. I soon learned that when doctors get sick with serious disease, they also tend to reconsider their spiritual beliefs.
Several doctors I spoke with were religious before they became patients, but they were admittedly even more so once they faced serious illness. Others changed more dramatically. “Patients used to ask me to pray for them, and I’d pooh-pooh it,” one elderly physician told me. After he got sick, he “realized how important prayer was.”
Often these doctors expressed a hodgepodge of beliefs, drawing on the organized religion in which they were raised, and adding elements of Eastern philosophy or New Age beliefs.
That said, some physicians weren’t changed by illness, remaining skeptical and disillusioned with organized religion. “I see it helps my patients,” one doctor told me. “I wish I had it in my life more…But I don’t.” It could not always be willed.
Some doctors felt that prayer can directly alter the physical process of healing through God’s intervention. My view is that prayer and faith give vital strength and motivation that can help patients cope and continue to fight.
Does it matter whether you and your doctor share the same spiritual beliefs?
I would argue that your doctor’s personal beliefs don’t matter. What matters is that your doctor recognizes that your beliefs are important to you. Training cannot convince doctors to become more spiritual. But it can, I hope, make them more aware of the range of views that their patients have. Religion is a huge area that many doctors don’t know much about, yet this is what our patients are thinking about. I hadn’t appreciated the extent of that, until I myself became a patient.
Thinking back to the senior psychiatrist who told my patient he would pray for her, I now realize how astute he was. I saw her as a little, depressed woman. What he picked up on was that Catholicism would be important to her. That was the way to connect with this woman who so far had rejected our efforts to help her. At the time, to me, it seemed an odd thing to say. In retrospect, it was quite empathic.
As an intern, alas, I was usually too busy to discuss these issues with patients — not yet aware of their significance. But I hope now that future doctors will do better. It will help patients. And their doctors, too.
Dr. Klitzman is an associate professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. Tara Parker-Pope is on vacation.

Greetings from cold and snowy Maine….. we too are in the midst of a significant viral flu outbreak as is most of the US right now. It was late arriving this year and will likely last much longer than “average” flu seasons. Many of you have heard that the current flu vaccine may not be very effective in protecting oneself against the current viral flu…. and that next year’s vaccine will be greatly expanded with additional flu variants to attempt a more effective protection.
How best to protect yourself? A strong, supported immune system allows us to best protect ourselves and respond to infectious challenges, like the flu. This is not brain surgery here…… daily immune support goes a very long way in maintaining immune health and with that health, comes the inherent ability of the body to withstand the ravages of this and many other infections. Many of us who support our bodies with Transfer Factor Plus TriFactor experience less infections and less severity and duration of that infection: this observation we made for many years in our pediatric practice and through many years of personal use. My wife works with many co-workers who have missed up to a week’s work due to flu-like symptoms….. and there she sits, sign and symptom free. In fact, she mentioned last night that in 7 years of interior design work for a large architectural firm, she has taken NO sick days…. none. And I too have experienced the same history as well….. no sick days taken despite seeing 50-75 patients a day in an active pediatric practice over an 8 year period of immune support with TF+.
How best to protect oneself? Take daily immune support with TF+…. and consider a higher daily intake up to 6 caps daily, if one is exposed to others who are challenged, for up to 7-10 days.
I bid you Health….. and many Blessings, Dr David in Maine

Greetings to you all. After much thought and discussions with other members of the Heritage Partners 4Life team, we have decided to approach our Tuesday night meetings in a different way during the Q and A portion. This 10-15 mins portion of the call will respond to general questions of general immune support and product use ONLY. No longer will specific health issues and challenges be discussed in any detail whatsoever. If one has a question about a specific issue, that person has the opportunity to ask us by emailing us at tfquestions@heritage4life.net. This opportunity will continue as long as I feel that it is not overwhelming in nature. If this does become an undue burden for me, I will no longer respond and I will notify you of such during the call and in this blog.
I remind all that we are here to educate and share about immune health using the 4Life immune support line and not to act as health care providers. We do not diagnose or treat any conditions whatsoever, but rather make suggestions as to the support of the human body’s inherent abilities to foster its own health and wellness.
I am hopeful that you all fully understand this position, as it is one that all of you should adopt for your own in terms of sharing our health and wellness line of products.
I bid you Peace and much Health and Wellness.
Blessings, Dr David in Maine

Let me share with you a deeply personal testimonial that some of you have already heard. And it relates to the use of Riovida, an anti-oxidant rich juice, with the empowering addition of Transfer Factor, as an immune support component.
My mother, an 86 year old woman suffering many of the ravishes of dementia for years and over a decade of a pre-malignant condition called Waldenstrom’s macrohypergammaglobulinemia, is at high risk for an infection that could easily end her life. This Waldenstrom’s condition is manifested by an over-population of lymphyocytes (white blood cells) that occupy her bone marrow, the site of blood cell production, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, and that produce an over-abundance of an antibody protein. This crowding out of her bone marrow significantly reduces the number of red and white cells circulating throughout her body, requiring her to get repeated transfusions (every 2-3 weeks) and a white cell stimulating medication to force a temporary increase in circulating white blood cells called neutrophils. Neutrophils are necessary to fight off acute infections, particularly bacterial infections.
To the amazement of her doctors and to my brother, an internal medical doctor, my mother thusfar after months of the aforementioned support, has not had a fever or infection, despite her high risk. During a recent family conference call to discuss my mother’s medical condition, my brother expressed his amazement at her infection-free state, stating that he could not understand how she has remained free of this challenge. I reminded him that she has been supplementing with our liquid transfer factor immune support product Riovida for over 9 months, taking 2+ oz. daily. And no other supplements including a variety of vitamins have changed during that period of time.
I am convinced that this daily anti-oxidant transfer immune support has had a significant impact on her daily health and has helped keep her infection free. I reminded him that our pediatric patients who used TF Classic daily had a 75% reduced infection rate and an 85% reduced use of antibiotics when compared to like aged non-user kids… and that we are likely seeing the same effect in our mother.
Normally I would have my mom take much heavier doses of TF+TriFactor, but due to her difficulty in taking capsules, I have her on simple Riovida…. and it appears to be at least boosting her immune responsiveness to help in avoiding this potential challenge.
How could our Transfer Factor immune support product line help a beloved member of your family or friends? Think about it.
I bid you Health and Happiness,
Dr David in Maine

Greetings All…..on a borrowed laptop… guess my dream to “blog on the road” like all those political bloggers has finally come true. While we wait for final clearance from the company to detail the Russian studies, I thought I would pass on the multitude of issues raised in emailed questions to me in last 2 weeks……all 250 of them!! I am constantly amazed how the variety of health challenges people face daily can source back to the immune system. Each of these challenges and the potential for immune system support and wisdom to impact the health of these people reinforce in me my belief in what we do, sharing Transfer Factor with people day by day, one person at a time. The challenges range from Lupus (auto-immune), malignancy (failure of the immune system monitoring abnormal cells), infection (both acute and chronic), heart disease….. all have some immune contribution and all can be responded to with immune support and improved modulation or control. Transfer Factor+ TriFactor and many of our targeted line of TF products can positively impact the general health and effectiveness of the immune response, as well as the ability of the immune response to be measured and more appropriate to the challenge.
It is very gratifying to be able to share this knowledge with individuals and groups and touch people’s lives on a daily basis by sharing responsibliy what 4Life has provided to us.
Stay tuned….more to come. Dr David in Maine
